WE AFFIRM

• The Trinity is one God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit

• The doctrine of saving grace by faith

• The necessity of having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ

• The “Real Presence,” meaning Christ himself is present in the bread and wine

• The Baptism in the Holy Spirit as a necessity for all who desire a

close walk with our Lord

• The real and present work of the Holy Spirit through gifts and signs

• God’s healing grace today and the laying-on-of-hands for healing

and deliverance

• The tithe as the minimal standard for giving

HOLY COMMUNION

We believe in the weekly observance (at a minimum) of Communion (Eucharist). We believe in the healing power of the Holy Communion. When we say “Real Presence” we believe, according to the words of Jesus, that Jesus is really present in the elements, although they still remain bread and wine. The importance of the Eucharist was stated quite clearly in John, Chapter 6, when he quoted Jesus as saying:

I am the bread of life . . . I am the living bread that comes down from heaven, which a man may eat and not die . . . If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I give for the life of the world. I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life . . . Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him . . .

HONORING THE ROOTS OF OUR FAITH

The Chapel celebrates several of the key aspects of our Hebrew heritage including the seven festivals of the Lord found in Leviticus 23. We believe that they can help us understand God's plan of redemption for the world and our personal relationship to Him (Rom.15:4), and that they foreshadow things to come (Col. 2:16-17, Heb. 10:1, I Cor. 10:1-6,11).  more
